Fast fact: The 428 units of Marina Bay Residences were snap up within 3 days of the invitation-only preview in Dec 2006. By the end of 2nd day, all 418 units, excluding 10 penthouses, were sold, with some fetching as high as $2,700psf. The demand for the penthouses was so strong that the developer had to hold a tender for the sale of the penthouses.
Its largest penthouse, at 11,012sq ft, covering the top 3 levels of the 55-storey development was sold for about $28 million. The Marina Bay Residences eventually achieved an average price of $1,850psf. This was about $700psf more than the average price of $1,080psf achieved by the second tower of the nearby The Sail @ Marina Bay, which was launched in October 2005.
