Imagine living in the countryside, surrounded by lush green foliage, with the sound of birds and tree crickets. Now image living in the vibrant heart of the city. The timelessness and peace of a country retreat, yet just a stone’s away from the bright city lights. Moments away from Redhill MRT and Orchard Road, Tanglin View provides you with the perfect lifestyle and a location to match.
Did you know that the $78.5million project was cited as an example of how the construction industry could use modern techniques to increase productivity at worksites?
Almost all the three 20-storey blocks of Tanglin View were erected using pre-fabricated panels formed at the basement and hoisted into place. Traditional method is to build the floors and walls on the spot and hence each floor must be completed before moving on to the next level.
By using these pre-fabricated panels, the contractor only used 400 workers instead of the usual 1,000 and each floor was completed 9 days in advance. As a result, this was translated to about $5 million worth of savings.
