THE Housing Board is offering another 1,016 flats for sale at two new Build-to-Order (BTO) projects launched on Thursday

The flats are at Senja Gateway in Bukit Panjang and Corporation Tiara in Jurong West.

The flats comprise 254 Studio Apartments, 484 four-room and 278 five-room flats.

The HDB will set aside 95 per cent of the public supply of four and five-room units for first timers.

Senja Gateway, located at the junction of Kranji Expressway and Woodlands Road, will have 741 standard flats, comprising 254 units of Studio Apartments, 313 four-room and 174 units five-room flats. Facilities in this development include a minimart, eating house and shops.

Corporation Tiara, bounded by Corporation Road and Yung Kuang Road, will offer 275 premium flats, comprising 171 four-room and 104 five5-room flats.

Applications for the new flats can be submitted online from today to Aug 11.

With this launch, HDB would have offered a total of 9,844 new BTO flats for the first seven months of this year, exceeding the supply of 9,000 BTO flats offered 'for the whole of 2009', said the board in a statement on Thursday.

The HDB added that if demand from first-timer households is sustained, it will offer up to 16,000 BTO flats this year.

The upcoming projects for the rest of 2010 will enjoy 'a good geographical spread', covering areas such as Punggol, Sengkang, Woodlands, and Yishun.

HDB said it 'will continue to ensure that there is an adequate supply' of new flats to meet housing demand, adding it will launch about another 1,400 flats in Yishun in August.
